BRAC University Celebrates World Children’s Day with Creativity and Joy

collaborationwiththeHumanResourcesDepartment,BRACInstituteofEducational
Development(BIED),andtheMentalHealthandPsychosocialSupport(MHPSS)team,the
event brought together children and parents for a day of creativity, learning, and family bonding.
ThecelebrationshowcasedBRACUniversity’scommitmenttonurturingyoungmindsand
strengtheningfamilyconnections.Thedaybeganwithchildrenreceivinghandmadeplay
materialscraftedbyBIED,sparkingtheircuriosityandcreativity.Meanwhile,parents
participatedinaninteractivesessionledbyMHPSSexperts,offeringvaluableinsightsinto
fostering their children’s emotional and cognitive development.
Parentsandchildrenengagedinhands-ontoy-making,drawing,andreinforcingfamilybonds
through shared experiences.A captivating puppet-basedstorytelling session transportedchildren
into amagical worldof imagination,followed by anenergetic singingand dancingsegment that
filled the venue with laughter and joy. As part of the festivities, Professor Mohammad Mahboob
Rahman,TreasurerofBRACUniversityandtheChiefGuest,cutacakewiththechildrenand
parents to mark the joyous occasion of World Children’s Day.
ProfessorMahboobRahmanexpressedhisappreciation,saying,“ThiseventshowcasesBRAC
University’scommitmenttocreatingmeaningful opportunitiesforchildrenandtheirfamiliesto
growandthrivetogether.Weareoverjoyedtowitnessthehappinessandlearningthis
celebration has inspired.” Dr. David Dowland, Registrar, and Dr. Rubana Ahmed, Proctor, along
with Tahsina Rahman, Joint Director, Student Life, also attended the program.
Dr. Dowland and Professor Rahman actively participated in the activities, engaging with children
and parents to further reinforce the day’s spirit of connection and joy.
