Architect Dr. Mohiuddin Alamgir Supriyo Receives Rotary Gold President Award; Rotary Club of Dhaka Legacy Wins Gold Club Award

Cox’s Bazar, June 26: Architect Dr. Mohiuddin Alamgir Supriyo, President of the Rotary Club of Dhaka Legacy, has been honoured with the prestigious Gold President Award for the 2025–26 Rotary year. The club also received the Gold Club Award in recognition of its outstanding service and humanitarian initiatives.

The awards were presented at the Rotary District 64–65 Annual Awards Ceremony held on Friday at Hotel Sea Palace in Cox’s Bazar.
According to the organisers, Dr. Supriyo received the Gold President Award in recognition of his exemplary leadership, commitment to Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self,” and his efforts in inspiring fellow Rotarians to expand community service initiatives.
Accepting the award, Dr. Supriyo said, “This honour belongs not only to me but to every member of our club who has worked tirelessly to serve humanity. This recognition inspires us to continue our service with even greater dedication.”
The ceremony was attended by the Rotary International President’s Special Representative (RIPSR) team, along with senior officials of Rotary District 64–65, who commended the club for its consistent contributions to humanitarian and community development programmes.
Dr. Mohiuddin Alamgir Supriyo is a distinguished architect and social entrepreneur. He is the Founder and Principal Architect of Supriyo Angan – Architectural Design Studio and was honoured with the Global Architect Builder Awards (GABA) in 2020 for professional excellence.
Beyond his architectural career, he founded the Prerona Foundation and the Prerona Institute of Design and Technology (PIDT), contributing to education, professional training, and social development. Organisers said his combination of professional excellence and commitment to community service reflects the core values of Rotary.
Concluding the programme, Dr. Supriyo and members of the Rotary Club of Dhaka Legacy reaffirmed their commitment to expanding humanitarian service in the coming Rotary year and continuing to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
